Facing an Issue with Our Endpoints?
If you encounter a problem while using our endpoints, please open a support case in our customer portal. Include the following information:
- The endpoint you are calling
- Your client ID
- The payload of your request
- An approximate date and time of your API usage
- The result you are getting versus the expected result
- The
X-Correlation-Idvalue returned in the response headers (see below)
Providing a curl command of your web service call can be extremely helpful.
Request correlation: X-Correlation-Id
Every request to a SECUTIX public API is tagged with a correlation identifier. You can either supply your own by sending an X-Correlation-Id header, or omit the header — in which case the platform generates one for you. Either way, the value you should record is the one returned on the response:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
X-Correlation-Id: 7f3a9c2d-1b8e-4a5f-9c1d-e2f3a4b5c6d7
Content-Type: application/json
...
Rules for client-supplied values:
- Maximum length: 200 characters.
- Allowed characters: printable ASCII only (codes
0x20–0x7E). Letters, digits, and common punctuation are fine; tabs, newlines, NUL bytes, and non-ASCII characters are not. - A UUID works well as a default choice.
If the value you send violates these rules, it is silently ignored and the platform generates an id for you instead — your request still succeeds. Check the response header to see which id was actually used.
This identifier threads through every internal hop your request takes. When you include it in a support case, our team can pull the full server-side trace in seconds instead of grepping by timestamp across multiple log streams. Capturing this value at integration time, and surfacing it in your own application's error reports, is the single most useful thing you can do to speed up support.
